I caught the clay bug in 1999 while working with paper mache in Florida. Clay presented endless opportunities for exploring shape texture, function and the pure art of clay.

My primary goal has been to create objects that catch your attention and coaxes out an emotion. It does not matter which emotion is expressed as long as the viewer walks away with the excitement of experiencing real hand crafted folk art.

I am not a production potter but consider myself an art potter. I give the same effort and critical eye to one of my cups as I do to one of my large pots or face jugs. Ultimately if my pieces bring some joy and satisfaction to the viewer or its new owner, I have succeeded.
